2009 Savannah Addy Awards

So this is one of my favorite projects I did while attending SCAD. For my Advertising Production Class we were assigned to come up with a campaign for the 2009 Savannah Addy Awards. We needed to come up with two postcards, flyer, and winners booklet. Some of the specs were, because of budget we had to choose digital 4-color printing or Specialty paper with offset 2 color. The cool thing about this project was the Savannah Advertising Federation would pick one project to actually use for the Addys.

A representative from the Federation came and talked about what they were looking for. They wanted to bring back some of the glamour of the Addys. They said that in the past few years the awards became really casual so they wanted something formal. I ran with that idea and took the glamour and prestige of the walk of fame for my concept.

First Concept
This is what I actually presented to the panel of Judges and got graded on. Below you will see what we actually did.

Final Concept
Well out of all the students mine was chosen, but that was just the start. That summer I met with some different members of the Savannah Ad Fed and they gave me suggestions and together we perfected my concept. They really liked all these icons I created for the inside of the flyer. So below is the final concept. We ended up going with a special paper and did a two color job so we could do a metallic ink, gold.
